“Say to Daughter Zion,
‘See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’” Matt. 21:5

COLT! I have worked with untamed horses, those never handled, or ridden, and let me just say that you do NOT just walk up to them and climb onboard! The fact that Jesus could ride through crowds full of shouting and jubilation, with people tossing branches onto the ground in their path astounds me.

Only Jesus, the Prince of PEACE could have such a calming influence on a wild animal. It is well known that animals can sense your feelings, and attitudes. This colt knew this was His Creator, and they formed an instant bond due to this. I can just imagine the beautiful scene of a master walking up to this wild animal, and seeing the bond of peace and harmony between them. This is the peace and comfort that Jesus brings into our lives. He IS our Prince of PEACE!

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and
the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be
called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting
Father, Prince of Peace." Isa. 9:6

Just a quick thought thought for Palm Sunday ~ the name given to the day where Christ TRIUMPHANTLY entered into Jerusalem. Read Matthew 21:1-11 for the whole account 🙂
